A place to reflect, ramble, and rofl at adventures from my study abroad in Nihon...
Honestly, there could be shenanigans.

And here...we...go!

I did it.
I managed to consolidate choice belongings into a bookbag, a dufflebag, and a suitcase--a large one, mind you--the latter weighing just under 50 lbs. Unless the scale is lying to me.
...
We hope the scale isn't deceitful.
So I've hardly slept, but I'm now officially packed. Sweet relief. I never realized how much of a girl I was until I decimated my wardrobe, stuffed the privileged survivors into the suitcase, and thought to myself "How can anyone survive with so few clothes?" Ok, that was melodramatic. See, I systematically chose my clothing based on comfort, potential for layering, hang-dry-ability, color contrast and comparability. I think I'm some kind of monster.
So this is the plan:
1) Meet Robert and Gerry at the airport
2) Don't lose them between the 3 flights over to Kyoto
3) Sometime between the US and Japan, figure out the best way to switch from the Tokyo Narita airport to the Tokyo Haneda airport....
4) Sometime between all the above, work out the Battle Plan (less glamorously known as the Itinerary)
5) Arrive in Kyoto and follow Ben's humorous but detailed directions from the airport to the guesthouse
6) Have us some adventures in Japan

Time to go...to the future! Or the airport, more precisely.
Ok, first we spring forward and lose an hour of sleep, then I lose a day flying west....Aie.
